چکیده

Helicobacter pylori is main causative agent of acute gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. In certain population, this infection leads to gastric cancers viz., adenocarcinoma, mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. The objective study was comparatively evaluate invasive (RUT) non-invasive (IgM IgG ELISA) methods for detection H. among patients visiting a tertiary care hospital. A total 285 dyspeptic undergoing endoscopic examination were included in study. From each patient one biopsy specimen serum samples collected. Biopsy subjected RUT IgM & ELISA tests performed using samples. detected 127 (44.6%) 126 (44.2%) cases by ELISA, respectively. 85 (29.8%) ELISA. Based on the combination test, 128 (44.9%) positive infection. Most belonged 21-40 years age group (60 128) followed 41-60 (31 0f 128). All three diagnostic RUT, used showed greater prevalence female gender compared male gender. study, sensitivity both similar across different groups advantage over that it does not require endoscopy. Therefore, could be considered as safe an alternative method pathogen.

Accuracy of Helicobacter pylori stool antigen for the detection of Helicobacter pylori infection in dyspeptic patients.

AIM The premier platinum Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) stool antigen (HpSA) test is an enzyme immunoassay (EIA) that detects an H pylori antigen present in human stools. However, at present there is no uniformity about the cut off level required to consider the test as positive or negative. So we need the cut off level for our local population. The aim of this study was to evaluate the HpSA fo...
